Oyster Roast 2016

Supporters joined us on a gorgeous afternoon to help celebrate the 10th Annual PDLT Oyster Roast on February 20th, at Hobcaw Barony, Georgetown, SC. It was our largest and most successful event ever! Thank you to all of our Members that were patient while we had to work through additional parking plans in order to expand the event after tickets sold out so quickly initially. We were able to get tickets for all Members that expressed interest in joining us. Our guests enjoyed delicious food by The Catering Company that included SC Local and Gulf select oysters, Brunswick stew, fried hushpuppies and okra, libations and homemade desserts provided by PDLT Board members. We had the opportunity to present bluebird boxes made of cypress as a symbol of our appreciation to two of our newest easement donors for their conservation efforts, Jo Jeffers represented the Back Swamp School Trust (93 acres surrounding the historic school house in Florence County) and Eddie Drayton (Tilghman Tract-670 acres in Marlboro Co), with bird boxes as a symbol of our appreciation for their conservation efforts. It was fun catching up with old friends and making new ones while everyone enjoyed the spectacular views across Winyah Bay and music by The Spots. A very special thank you to the staff and volunteers of Hobcaw Barony/ Belle W. Baruch Foundation, PDLT Board Members, volunteers, auction donors and of course our sponsors!
