Education and Outreach at the Pee Dee Land Trust has many facets. Landowner education is critical to the growth of our conservation community. Landowner gatherings offer an opportunity for landowners to hear from conservation easement donors about their experiences with PDLT and for PDLT staff to present a case study on how a conservation easement works. We also partner with local governments, educational institutions, businesses, and other nonprofits in the region to educate the public about the importance of conservation.

PDLT hosts and partners with other organizations throughout the year to provide ‘Edu-tainment’ experiences throughout the Pee Dee Watershed. These events are not fundraisers, but rather an opportunity to expose people to the amazing natural, agricultural and historical resources we have in our region. The events include outdoor excursions, our popular Sportsmen’s Series, and more.
