Protected Places
Conserving Our Landscape.
Pee Dee Land Trust’s conservation efforts focus on the nine counties located in the Northeastern section of South Carolina, which include portions of the Sandhills and Coastal regions, along with the entire Pee Dee Watershed. Each of Pee Dee Land Trust’s conservation easements listed below has a connection to the Pee Dee watershed that stretches from the Sandhills at the North Carolina-South Carolina border, through the Pee Dee and all the way down to the Winyah Bay along the Atlantic Ocean. Pee Dee Land Trust has now protected 46,979 acres. While remaining in private ownership, the lands protected through conservation easements held by PDLT ensure that special places will be available for farming, forestry, and recreation for future generations.
